Olympia peace activist Patty talks about her participation in a federal
lawsuit to change conditions in the Olympia City Jail. She was arrested in
November 2007 during anti-war protests that shut down military transport
through the Port of Olympia. Patty was one of 40 women who held a sit in
at the port gate. The lawsuit came from their treatment in Olympia City
Jail where they were held for hours in their underwear and subjected to

Casting and Crew for short film “The Day the Revolution Came to Town”

Log Line:

A drifter comes to town talking about revolution. People don’t take him
seriously until he defends himself from business owners, cops and thugs
trying to kick him out of town. The drifter plans on doing all he can to
destroy hierarchy before he goes.

Shooting Schedule:

This short film will be shot in 3 days late spring in Olympia, WA

Compensation:

No compensation except for film credit and food on set.

I just found out about this website from a friend. In the past i have had to look for indy media about Olympia on the Portland imc site or the Seattle one because there are no links to the website from the U.S. imc site or the World imc site.

With the boycott happening and fort lewis soldiers collecting fingers of Afghanis, Olympia has place in world headlines so i think it's important that the world has access to a local-independent perspective on these things but they don't if people cant find the site...

Let’s start an anarchist perspective news and current events TV show at
community-access TCTV in Olympia. The show will mostly consist of reading
news, playing video clips, studio interviews and on the scene video
reports. The show will cover anarchist news, events and ideas.

The aim is for this to be a consistent half hour weekly show. We are going
to need 8 or more crew members and 2-4 TV hosts on a weekly basis. No
previous TV experience necessary. People wanting to work the cameras and
other equipment will have to be trained at TCTV beforehand. Check their
